P1440 is one of the newest national organizations to bring beach volleyball programming to the juniors scene. Started by Keri Walsh Jennings, P1440 first came to fruition in the summer of 2018 on the professional level, and more recently their juniors tour (RISE) in the beginnings of 2019. P1440 RISE’s main purpose it to grow the sport of beach volleyball by offering more opportunities for youth and amateur players to compete through collaborative partnerships with clubs, affiliates, and teams across the nation.

Similar to the other national volleyball organizations, P1440 RISE hosts numerous qualifying tournaments throughout the year that awards bids to their Junior National Championship to the top teams for each tournament. Players will have to also be members in order to participate in any P1440 RISE events. Depending on where teams finish in qualifying tournaments will determine the type of bid they earn for the P1440 Rise Junior National Championship. 3-4 bids for the top finishers will be awarded for entry into the gold division. 3-4 bids will also be awarded for entry into the silver division to the next best 3/4 finishers. The P1440 RISE Junior National Championship will be held July 7th-8th, 2019 in Los Angeles, Ca.

Colorado Connection: Unfortunately there are no P1440 events offered in Colorado at this time.
